First Look: Bohemian House In The Old Fourth Ward

New, 51 comments

There's still almost a year left until construction on Bohemian House Fourth Ward — or BOHO4W, if you're hip enough — is, to coin an obnoxious phrase, completely complete. But that's closer than you think. BOHO4W, one of several in-progress developments in the shadow of Ponce City Market and walkable from Historic Fourth Ward Park, broke ground on Wilmer Street last October with a goal of opening this fall. The $35-million, 276-unit complex, however, is now aiming for a staggered turnover. Spokeswoman Liz Gillespie told Curbed Atlanta the office, pool amenities and very first units should be opening in mid-December. And it's looking like June 2014 for construction completion.

An animated "fly through" for the development encourages folks to "live unconventionally" (unfortunately, the video hasn't been made public yet). But through the magic of screen-capture technology, we're able to provide these visual highlights. One- and two-bedroom floorplans range from 687 to 1,337 square feet and can be scoped out at BOHO4W.com, which expects to be fully operational by the end of the week. As you can glean by the electric guitars, ceiling art and general look of the cyber cafe, everything at BOHO4W appears to be hip and modern — but in a "different" way. A bohemian way, if you will.
