Billboard Dilemma

New, 11 comments

Legislation passed by the Georgia General Assembly in 2011 could jeopardize Buckhead's chances of having leafy pedestrian experiences in its burgeoning shopping districts, officials recently found. The law dictates that trees cannot be planted within 500 feet of a billboard — like those in the vicinity of Peachtree, Roswell and West Paces Ferry roads. The worst case scenario is that trees planted during initiatives to enhance Buckhead's walkability will have to be removed. [BuckheadView]
