Can Stellar Chastain Contemporary Fetch Nearly $3M?

New, 6 comments

So far, 2014 has been the year of hyperbolic listing pronouncements. We've seen the greatest modern home in Buckhead, and the most wonderful home on earth, located in Morningside. Today brings nothing less than the "most well-known modern home in Buckhead." To be sure, this place is worthy of any renown it gets, but is it worth nearly $3 million? Most comps in the area would suggest not, but then again there aren't many 6,700 square-foot minimalist palaces like this one in Atlanta. From the space-age toilet cubes, to the motorized blinds and to-die-for modern kitchen, this place is just svelte. Even the wall-sized photo of Audrey Hepburn's face, towering next to a toilet, seems smart. The elevator and gigantic awnings that recall high-end steakhouses might seem overblown, but that's kind of the point. Built in 2007, the home has panoramic views of Chastain Park and the golf course. Movoto estimates the monthly loan payment would be a paltry $11,000. That should keep the riffraff hipsters out.
