BUCKHEAD— Ford Fry's fifth restaurant, St. Cecilia, opened in Buckhead on Monday. Replacing Bluepointe, it serves a menu centered around the cooking of the Southern European coastline, which means lots of seafood and pasta. Check out the full offerings and more pictures this way.
BOOK CLUB— Empire State South chef and Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson's first cookbook won a James Beard Foundation Award. His second book, which is more like a booklet, comes out in March. It's called Pick a Pickle: 50 Recipes for Pickles, Relishes, and Fermented Snacks.
INMAN PARK— Plans for 280 Elizabeth are well underway, and three restaurants will definitely be opening in the mixed-use development in early 2015. Look for the return of MF Sushi from the Kinjo brothers, a sister restaurant to The Optimist from Ford Fry and Adam Evans, and sister concept to Barcelona Wine Bar Bartaco.
BEER HERE— SweetWater and The Giving Kitchen teamed up to make a collaboration IPA, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the non-profit, started in part by late chef Ryan Hidinger. Here's where to find it.
