$275K 'Atlantic' Condo Boasts Views, Double Murphy Beds

New, 6 comments

Hats off to the ingenuity at this one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo at The Atlantic. The listing agent informs us this is the largest unit of its kind in the 47-story Art Deco edifice at the southern lip of Atlantic Station. Still, the floor plan wouldn't allow for a second bedroom, so someone got creative and built a double-barrel Murphy bed that masquerades as a bookcase. Boasting cherry wood, a frameless shower and south-facing views, this 1,244 square-foot home could be a fairly inexpensive entry point to Midtown or one swell pied-à-terre. But those savings could be compromised by nearly $5,500 in annual HOA dues, or roughly $500 per month, if the listing is accurate. In fairness, that includes perks like a concierge and private screening room. Renting could be another option for Atlantic admirers. Last we checked, rents for units a bit smaller than this one were in the $1,600 range.
