In an effort to make central Buckhead more enticing to pedestrians and picnickers, Charlie Loudermilk Park will undergo a $2.5 million makeover that should be complete by this summer, officials confirmed this week. Expect oak trees, an expanded lawn, covered seating, a clock tower and a statue of the namesake furniture-rental magnate. No word yet on the fate of that creepy, buffed-up buck and his animal pals.
