International Mentions

The Atlanta Beltline scores a mention this week in the pages of Canada's leading newspaper. The Toronto Star says the Beltline is the only project of its kind (paid for with tax increment financing) that comes close to an ambitious "SmartTrack surface rail line" proposed by one candidate vying to replace whacky Rob Ford. It's a controversial proposal for booming Toronto, and the newspaper points to Atlanta as a cautionary tale. [TS]
