Boxy New Modern in Edgewood Flirts with Affordability

New, 3 comments

This recently finished home on the northern fringes of Edgewood could suit buyers on a strict budget who can't live without modern flair and stained concrete. That's not to say $429,900 is dirt cheap, but builders don't just give away "California cool with boho touches," as the listing agents puts it. No doubt, the exterior is bold, and the 2,300 square feet within are generally wide-open and sleek, at least from a distance. The two-pantry kitchen is awash in white quartz, and the interesting position of the "knockout" master shower allows one to bathe while on display. The huge front yard looks fit for Thanksgiving pigskin traditions, and around back, we find a sprawling, mauve patio; but the rooftop deck could take the cake. The design might not be groundbreaking, but the home could be an entrée into contemporary style. It's within an easy walk of MARTA trains, Radial Café and an apartment community with a knack for making the news.
