All the latest dining and nightlife news from Eater Atlanta.

GLENWOOD PARK — Esquire Magazine released its list of the 12 best new restaurants in America, and Kevin Gillespie's Gunshow made the cut. Esquire said of the restaurant, "You don't know what to expect, other than a kitchen so ballsy and hypercreative — pork-skin risotto, foie gras with figs and Coca-Cola reduction — that you can't figure on ever getting the same thing twice."

BUCKHEAD — The team behind Umi Sushi, one of Atlanta's favorite purveyors of raw fish, is planning to open a semi-private club four doors down from the restaurant. Targeting next spring, "it's like a place where James Bond and Sammy Davis Jr. would meet for a martini," according to Umi co-owner Farshid Ashid.

ALPHARETTA — Oak Steakhouse will open in the Avalon mixed-use development on October 31. It's the second location for the Charleston-based restaurant, and the menu will focus on five Angus Certified steaks.

CITYWIDE — What's the best dive bar in Atlanta? We want to know. Tell us your favorite, and we'll compile a map featuring several of the top choices.
