The Oakhurst Streetscape Improvements project has been in the works since Prince was on Apollonia, give or take, but it could be gearing up to actually happen. Barring any surprises, the Decatur City Commission will award a $1.4 million contract to low-bidders from Norcross tonight. The enhancements — to include new trees, sidewalks, "street furniture," a rain garden and an expansion of Harmony Park — should take about a year. [Decatur Metro]
