At the Central Park Lofts, a mid-rise tower in the Old Fourth Ward, we find an industrial-chic condo that the listing agent promises has "tons of custom upgrades and finishes." Hopefully those touches are extraordinary, because it would help explain the $385,000 price tag on a one-bedroom unit that doesn't exactly overlook the Beltline. For the number of bedrooms, the unit is relatively large (1,285 square feet), with airy ceilings and what looks like a pro-grade kitchen. Some might find the exposed-ductwork-and-brick aesthetic a little less appealing; ditto with the master bathroom's stack of glass blocks. Located off Ralph McGill Boulevard, this building opened in 2002 with just 35 units, according to various websites, though that seems low. It would benefit greatly from a world-class overhaul of the Atlanta Civic Center site. As is, walkable retailers in the area include Blimpie, Chick-fil-A and Boulevard Lotto.
