The Urban Land Institute recently bestowed special kudos upon Centennial Olympic Park for being an important project of nearly 20 years. Why? "More than any other project we could identify," a ULI leader tells the Atlanta Business Chronicle, "it has had such a profound catalytic impact on the development of an entire area, an area that was somewhat distressed prior to its creation." Future plans for the park include closing Andrew Young International Boulevard, building a cycle track and actually reducing landscaping. [ABC]
