Buckhead Rental Project is Going Boutique, for a Change

New, 4 comments

How about a little breath of developmental fresh air, Buckhead? Into a neighborhood flooded with recent proposals for towers and large-scale, mixed-use projects comes "Ardmore & 28th," a 165-unit boutique development with a less flashy feel. The project is a partnership between Enfold Properties and Cocke Finkelstein and is currently under construction on five acres at Ardmore Circle and 28th Street — land that was, until recently, home to several aging apartment buildings. A representative from Enfold described the undertaking as "walkable to Piedmont Hospital and restaurants such as Watershed, Saltyard, Lusca and Egg Harbor Cafe." Ardmore & 28th will also have "direct access" to the Beltline's Northside Trail and — in a fairly rare twist for the area — will offer eight for-rent townhomes.

The Enfold official told Curbed Atlanta the project will be "fully amenitized" with an obligatory pool, fitness room, club house, dog spa and landscaped courtyards. As shown in the only sketches available right now, the overall layout promises to be a little different, too — no apartment block but two curved rows featuring three- or four-story apartment buildings and almost brownstone-y looking townhomes. According to the Enfold website, Ardmore & 28th hopes to deliver units next summer.
