Surprising Stats

Atlanta made the list again when yet another study calculated the best and worst cities for pedestrian safety. That's no surprise. The shocker is that instead of being on the "worst" list, as per usual, our city made it into the top 10 SAFEST cities for pedestrians. Say what?! Right is left! Up is down! The rankings by Liberty Mutual Insurance — based on government data and a consumer perception survey — placed Atlanta at number 10, not quite as safe as Seattle, Boston, D.C., San Francisco, New York, Portland, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and Chicago but safer than Denver, Philly, Baltimore, Columbus and L.A.
