Beltline Nostalgia

As part of a 20-year anniversary reflection, Atlanta INtown Newspaper peeks back at the Beltline of a decade ago (think: kudzu and desolation) and picks the brain of Ryan Gravel for thoughts on the future: "We could see trains in (the Beltline) corridor in the next five years if we push for it," Gravel told the paper. "Let's pass a referendum and collect the funds we need to get it done." The article's circa-2004 photos are mindboggling; for 2011 glimpses (such as this one, at right) see our first Beltline photo essay here.
