A mixed-use project called The Olmsted Chamblee is promising to rebel against the "conventional apartment living" that plagues Atlanta. Set to open in 2016, the 283-unit development will rise next door to the Chamblee MARTA Station, with live-work units, standard apartments, a few rental townhouses and space for two restaurants with patios, developer Cocke Finkelstein Inc. announced. The unconventional name is a nod to famed landscape architect Fredrick Law Olmsted, who designed Central Park, Piedmont Park, the Druid Hills neighborhood and much more. [Website]
