When Pedro E. Guerrero met Frank Lloyd Wright, Wright was a famed 72-year-old architect and Guerrero was a 22-year-old aspiring photographer and art school dropout. Guerrero presented the "world's worst portfolio," including a shot of a dead pelican and nudes taken on a Malibu beach, but Wright, who had just lost a photographer, hired him anyway, with the instruction to "photograph anything and everything." Guerrero went along with Wright's apprentices to Taliesin East, the first step in a long career as architectural photographer to the greats. Curbed National has Guerrero's full story.
