Sitting on a lot narrower than a two-lane street — according to the City of Atlanta, the property is 25-feet wide — an ultra-mod new home has risen at 177 Randolph St. in the Old Fourth Ward. Nearly completed, the home hits the market at a rather optimistic $699,999. What it lacks in width, though, it makes up for in unabashed modernism, with a rooftop backyard terrace complete with waterfall and fire pit, a kitchen island clad in granite and a bathroom out of the Jetsons. The location is also a major selling point, located just off the Freedom Parkway Trail, around the corner from the Beltline and Krog Street Market, boasting a relatively swell Walk Score of 87. The width of the house makes for a very linear and tall configuration, accentuated by nearly 12-foot ceilings. With four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, the house is fairly comparable to a few other moderns in the neighborhood that underwent a little price-choppage earlier this year. We'll see if this one can go for the asking price, or if it languishes like its mates. Currently, it's about 2/3 finished.
