According to the annual Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report, two metro Atlanta communities — Riverdale and Lithonia — are among the top five cheapest cities in the country to buy a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house. The report analyzed nearly 2,000 markets, finding Riverdale the second cheapest in the country, where large houses can be had for about $68,000 on average — equivalent to annual landscaping costs in Morningside. Conversely, Georgia's most expensive market is Sandy Springs, with average prices of $424,000, according to the study.
