The Skinny: Everywhere you turn these days, someone is extolling the potential of southwestern Atlanta neighborhoods like Adair Park, Westview, West End and Capitol View. The Beltline's Westside Trail groundbreaking, set for later this month, has spurred a get-in-now mentality. Well, it's now. So let's wager a guess: How much does now cost?

In Capitol View, we find this World War II-era bungalow a couple of blocks from Perkerson Park, home to Atlanta's only permanent disc golf course. The Walk Score might be a meager 27 right now, but this place won't be far from the southernmost tip of the Westside Trail. It's beyond move-in ready, though some updating could be in order. The interior looks clean and simple, with gleaming hardwoods everywhere, though the textured ceiling won't score any HGTV kudos. Upstairs, the modernized whole-floor master suite beats a cobwebby attic. The exterior could maybe use a little paint and a date with a pressure-washer. Judging by the porch views, the homes of immediate neighbors are in fine condition. The French doors leading to the gracious old porch are a nice touch, too.

Vague clue: The asking price could surprise you.
