The iconic Midtown skyline over Piedmont Park could soon change, if a planned 22-story residential tower by Wood Partners — which may or may not be condos — comes to fruition, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. The company presented the 220-unit tower known as "Alta at the Park" to the Midtown Development Review Committee this week, suggesting it would rise next to the Luxe condo building on a sliver of land on the south side of 12th Street, though plans are fluid at this point. Wood Partners has another major project — the 21-story 33 Peachtree Place apartments and retail complex — in development just a few blocks away.
