According to Creative Loafing, some Atlantans are miffed at the city's proposal to make money with a push for ads in public spaces around the city. In an attempt to assuage fears such as undermining philanthropic gifts and ruining the natural beauty of parks, City Hall (soon to be Coca-Cola City Hall, perhaps?) will host a meeting tonight to share information and answer questions about the plan. Never mind that the city is really seeking proposals for public right-of-ways more than they are for parks. Besides, a few billboards could bring some much-needed shade in the summertime, right?
