In Buckhead, a $4.2M Gift to Make All Naughties Nice

New, 5 comments

A West Paces mansion, billed by the listing agent as "Buckhead's most exclusive private, gated enclave," has gone up for sale in time for a spouse who's been incredibly naughty to make things nice. The home is well appointed with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large wine cellar and an elevator, and sits on 1.8 acres just off of Northside Drive and West Paces Ferry Road. Constructed in 2005 by Deane Johnson, whose family has been building lavish homes for the monied of Atlanta for over 100 years, the home is the epitome of Buckhead opulence. Even with all the features and a banister-slider's three-story spiraling dream, the asking price of $4.2 million seems high for the neighborhood, with comparables listed for at least $1 million less. Then again, a high asking price is one way to keep it exclusive.
