Ed McBrayer, executive director of the PATH Foundation, has written a piece for the AJC advocating for the Department of Transportation to set aside space in the Ga. Highway 400 right-of-way for pedestrian trails north of Interstate 285. With the imminent opening of Path400 in Buckhead and a major reconfiguration of the Ga. 400/Interstate-285 interchange in the works, McBrayer is optimistic the DOT will be more receptive to the idea than when it was first floated in 1991, when vehicles were worshipped. McBrayer argues that biking and pedestrian trails are what almighty Millennials want anyhow.
