CITYWIDE — It's time to update the Eater Heatmap, the definitive guide to Atlanta's hottest food options. Joining the party this month are Cooks & Soldiers and the food hall at Krog Street Market.
MIDTOWN — A few Seven Lamps and Cypress Street Pint and Plate alums are opening a concept in the former MidCity Cafe space. GRAIN is a bar/restaurant that offers craft beers and cocktails and small plates that cover sweet and savory. Look for a Monday launch.
INMAN PARK — Ian Cox, lead bartender at The Luminary and winner of the 2014 Eater Award for Bartender of the Year in Atlanta, is moving on in the beverage industry. Jeff Banks, most previously of Graft in Grayson, is on board as Cox's replacement.
BROOKWOOD HILLS — Joe Truex, executive chef at Watershed on Peachtree for nearly five years, is leaving the restaurant. Truex is moving abroad to serve as chef/consultent for "a high-end pizza restaurant in the Mall of Dubai."
