Hollywood is bullish on Norcross — or, at least, an ambitious mixed-use project by Jacoby Development in that Gwinnett County city. Jacoby's Hollywood-based partner in the "Atlanta Media Campus" project says the bones are there for a $1 billion blockbuster development, which would turn 105 post-industrial acres into at least seven TV and film sound stages, a film school, the country's largest studio backlot, along with retail, hotel and office spaces and more than 1,000 multifamily units. Jacoby expects to finally close on the property in the first quarter of 2015, at the latest. [ABC; subscriber]
