Keith Parker, MARTA's dogged general manager, told the Rotary Club of Atlanta this week the system could be twice its current size, as it pales in comparison to transit authorities (Washington D.C. and San Francisco) launched around the same time. Parker has pinpointed where the next MARTA branches will go — the Clifton Road corridor, Interstate 20 east and Georgia 400 toward Alpharetta — just as soon as dollars start pouring in.
