First Look: Elan Westside's New Apartment Offerings

New, 30 comments

After a handful of typical construction delays, the Westside's latest apartment offering is open for business. Elan Westside, a seven-story undertaking by developer Greystar, stands at the corner of 14th Street and Howell Mill Road, and its 197 units include a wide mix of floor plans. Studios rent from $1,225 (611 square feet); one-bedroom units from $1,340 (726 square feet); and the mack-daddy two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments start at $1,715 (1093 square feet). The most expensive floor plan in the place rents at $2,065 (1,277 square feet). We're told there's a resort-style saltwater pool and cutting-edge gym. The Elan project joins a number of developments bringing a surge of apartments west of Midtown, including a pending build near The Optimist restaurant and the 250-unit Walton Westside near the Goat Farm Arts Center. Plans are also in place right around the corner at the old Ironworks spot, where a $6-million project will create 18,000 square feet of shops and restaurants. Speaking of, Elan Westside is designed for 11,000 square feet of retail, and while nothing has been confirmed, it's long been rumored that Fado Irish Pub will be opening its second location in the building. UPDATE: Elan reps have specified that the only confirmed tenant is Cooks & Soliders, a restaurant from the Castelluci Group, the team behind the Iberian Pig, Double Zero and other eateries.
