The multifamily boom times in Buckhead just keep on a-rollin'. Plans have emerged for a six-story apartment complex about a block from the soon-to-open Buckhead Atlanta project. The 3.6-acre development is in initial phases, but early plans call for 375 units of "high-end luxury rental housing," all wrapped in brick and stucco. First-floor units would have stoops and would be accessible from the street, according to plans recently brought before a review committee. Given the project's proximity to Buckhead Atlanta, no retail is in the works. It's worth noting that 70 percent of the units will be one-bedrooms, with the rest being two-bedroom offerings. No timeline was given, but the project could face stiff competition. More than 4,000 apartments are under construction in the Buckhead/Brookhaven submarket, with hundreds more planned.
