Delectable News Bites From Across The ATL Landscape

DECATUR— One hundred Atlanta-area fans of writer and Nobel Prize laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez will gather at 1 p.m. this Sunday at downtown Decatur's bandstand to read from "100 Years of Solitude" to honor Marquez, who died last month. CITYWIDE— The next installment of Atlanta Streets Alive happens from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday on a 3.1-mile stretch of Peachtree Street, between the Five Points area and 17th Street. More than 16,000 attended the street party's West End debut last month.

EAST ATLANTACrowdVested is hosting a cocktail hour for the EAV neighborhood to imbibe on free drinks and learn about a pending crowd-sourced project at The Glenwood from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. More on the effort, which involves Paces Properties, right here.
