Renderings of Novare's Midtown Tower Emerge. Déjà Vu Ensues.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that leaders from the Midtown Development Review Committee were "wowed" by the Novare Group's latest mixed-use offering, whose 31 stories will feature 400 residential units and about 10,000 square feet of retail, but does anyone think it looks a bit... how shall we say this politely?... um, familiar? Looking at the new rendering of the 1163 West Peachtree St. project then looking at Novare's Twelve Atlanta Station and especially The Atlantic feels like playing one of those Spot-The-Difference games from the newspaper. The new project, which will rise from the carb-alicious ashes of Einstein Bros. Bagels, was designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, who (coincidentally?) also designed The Atlantic. The new development will have a 500-space, eight-level parking deck with entrances on 14th and West Peachtree, because of course it will. Access to residential will be on 13th and West Peachtree.
