PolicyMic took a closer look at Georgia's burgeoning film industry and boldly declared that with enough time and gumption, it may be possible — though very difficult and, let's be honest, not likely — for the state to unseat Los Angeles as the movie-making capital of the world. Only four movies were shot in Georgia in 2001, but thanks to generous tax credits for filmmakers, that number rose to 142 by 2013.
