MARTA Matters

New, 11 comments

Score one for mass-transit enthusiasts in Buckhead, where the MARTA pedestrian bridge that spans Ga. Highway 400 is scheduled to debut June 24. The $32 million footbridge will allow easier access to the Buckhead MARTA station for pedestrians coming from the Tower Place Drive area — and a new crop of apartments and planned offices. Officials say 3,000 people "who live, work, shop and worship" in the area should find rail transit more practical next month.
