Downtown Development

In what should be another feather in downtown's increasingly feathered cap, Scoutmob cofounder Michael Tavani plans to transform a building across the street from The Tabernacle into a consumer-focused incubator called "Switchyards," the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Built in the 1920s, the 20,000-square-foot property is on the Atlanta Streetcar line. Tavani, who picked the building over downtown's taller Flatiron wedge and Ponce City Market, plans to spend $2 million on sprucing it up. [ABC]
