Encouraging Rankings

New, 11 comments

If reading article after article focused on Atlanta's sprawling reputation has left you feeling down, check out Smart Growth America's new "Foot Traffic Ahead" report, which ranked Atlanta in the top 10 cities for "walkable urbanism." Even more delightful is the report's prediction of where Atlanta will stand in the future when it comes to walkable urban areas: number 5, just behind Boston, DC, New York and Miami. If you really want to let it go to your head, flip to the page of the report dedicated to Atlanta, entitled, "The End of Sprawl: How Metro Atlanta Turned the Corner on Sprawl Development." Now that's a different perspective. [Smart Growth America]
