Shhhh... The recovery from the Great Recession sounds less like the loud boing! of a rubber ball bouncing back into the sky and more like the quiet scratching of pens on leases. If you listen, you can hear it happening all over the city. Trace the sound to Buckhead's mixed-use Terminus towers — together totaling 1.2 million square feet — and you'll find a 95 percent occupancy rate, the highest since Terminus 200 opened in 2008.
Prince Global Sports, which will relocate to a 11,778-square-foot Atlanta office from New Jersey, and Fidelity Investments, which signed on for 7,861 square feet, are among the towers' newest commercial tenants. On the residential side, Charlotte-based Crescent Communities has opened a 355-unit apartment community (rents range from $1,145 for a studio to $3,950 for a two-bedroom) next door to the gleaming towers where Atlanta concert promoter Peter Conlon's condo is asking $2.12 million and Atlanta Braves second baseman Dan Uggla's recently sold for $2.75 million.
