The improv group Dad's Garage has launched a capital campaign to raise money to buy a 12,000-square-foot church at 569 Ezzard St. in the Old Fourth Ward, just south of Thumbs Up Diner, Decaturish reports. Dad's is under contract to buy the church (it's listed online for $2.15 million), with hopes of closing the deal by year's end. For interior glimpses of the church and more background, see here.
