Hideous Exterior, Prison-esque Patio Hide Sweet Intown Digs

New, 9 comments

Surprising as it may seem, a newly constructed, three-bedroom contemporary steps from Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward restaurants, the Krog Street Market, Edgewood nightlife and the entrance to the Beltline could still be yours for less than $500K. The catch? You'll need to deal with an exterior color palette that only emo Rainbow Brite could love and a sunless back patio with the most depressing concrete-wall view this side of the county jail. Inside though! Well, that's a different story. Inside is all contemporary sleekness and big-ass closets. Modern touches include a double-sided fireplace, shower skylights and what really appears to be a giant piece of bacon suspended from the living room ceiling but must actually be an uber-hip fan. The ideally positioned 2,189-square-foot home's Walk Score of 80 is off the charts for Atlanta. And how often do you stare at your house from the outside anyway?
