A new study commissioned by Sandy Springs City Council recommends that the city build a 750- to 1,000-seat performing arts facility, along the lines of the Buckhead or Alliance theaters. It estimates the venue could draw 219,900 to 353,200 attendees every year and earn revenue of up to $5.4 million. The city is considering raising the $22 to $32 million needed for the project via private capital from the Sandy Springs business community. [Reporter Newspapers]
