Look, there's no denying that this 1964 mid-century modern in Buckhead's Margaret Mitchell neighborhood is a stunner. It is. But $9,500/month worth of stunning? You've got to admire the cojones and healthy self-esteem required to ask that much for a 3,028-square-foot home that sold for $685,000 just last year, but come on. Think of the house you could buy for a mortgage for that amount. We'd be talking swimming pool, wine cellar, home theater, maybe a room constructed entirely out of gold... or at least silver. Curbed Atlanta has actually swooned over this particular property before, back when it was for sale in March 2013 for $696,000, which is pocket change compared to its rental ask. It does have an open floorplan that's tough to beat, a double-sided stone fireplace, sunken living room and wooded backyard. The sleek kitchen and geometric bedroom skylights are effortlessly hip, and the whole thing is stylish beyond compare. But you're not walking to anything useful (its Walk Score is a pitiful 22) and public transit is non-existent. For $9,500/month, it should bend time and space to simultaneously sit right on top of a MARTA station, the Beltline, Ponce City Market and the downtown Ferris wheel.
