Buckhead Office, Retail Plans Move Forward On Peachtree

New, 4 comments

The out-with-the-old facelift in the core of Buckhead is extending beyond the mega-project that is Buckhead Atlanta. A multi-story, mixed-use project will consume the Bottle Bar & Bistro and other property near Buckhead Atlanta. The Loudermilk Co.'s website describes the "3111 Peachtree Atlanta" project only as "future office with retail." The site sits across the street from Charlie Loudermilk Park, which is also undergoing a serious overhaul at the moment. We're not privy to a tentative start date for the mixed-use project, but the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the Bottle Bar & Bistro could be setting sail for Midtown — more specifically, the 793 Juniper St. space vacated by Ludacris' hotspot Straits in 2012. (The Buckhead bar recently filed for an alcohol license in the former Straits digs). The bar's former neighbor, Al's Café Agora, was also forced out by the pending development, finding another home nearby in the Buckhead Village. By next year's Peachtree Road Race, this area could look quite different.
