Taking Shelter

New, 4 comments

A Fulton County judge's ruling last Friday could be welcome news for anyone pulling for the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless to be booted from its longtime home, the Peachtree-Pine shelter. Citing state law and legal precedent, hizzoner ruled that the building's owners, Premium Funding Solutions, are clear to begin taking court action to evict the shelter. Sources say the Task Force is free to challenge the foreclosure but has to start coughing up rent, which it hasn't done since PFS bought the building in 2011. [CL/Daily Report]
