Baby Boomer Exodus

New, 5 comments

Atlanta's population may be soaring, but Baby Boomers want no part of it. According to data from RealtyTrac, the "top 10 places Baby Boomers are leaving the fastest" includes four Atlanta counties — Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton and Cobb. Fulton topped the list, losing an astonishing 21.9 percent of its Boomers between 2007 and 2013 (despite gaining 12,700 residents last year). Those born between 1946 and 1964 are headed to warmer, cheaper places, but Atlanta has both balmy weather and a low cost of living, so what gives, Boomers? [MarketWatch]
