The Beltline is a living, moving river of speeding cyclists, parents with strollers, walkers, joggers, meandering children and dogs on leashes waiting to clothesline skateboarders and rollerbladers. Would three extra feet of trail width help? We're about to find out. The Beltline has begun testing of a softer-than-concrete-but-firmer-than-tofu material called Flexi-Pave, which could be used to build three-foot shoulders along the edge of the path. About 100 feet of the material, made of recycled rubber and stones, has been poured near Freedom Parkway. It is one of three options that'll be tested, the others being a "grass system" and a stone dust path. Go jump up and down on it or something; they're going to ask for your opinion.
