The AJC dropped a bombshell this weekend by reporting the anchor tenant of Jeff Fuqua's Grant Park mixed-use project won't be Walmart after all! Nothing is finalized, but it appears Kroger will be the big-box lynchpin for Fuqua's "Glenwood Place" development, consuming a 143,000-square-foot space. Despite having suburban features like a huge parking lot, the project will incorporate "Beltline elements" such as four or five-story buildings with mixed uses, one Grant Park leader tells Creative Loafing. Fuqua aims to break ground this fall.
