At long last, the 165-acre former GM plant in Doraville has sold. The Integral Group, in partnership with Macauley+Schmit and Houston-based capital partner, CAMS, closed on the property today for an undisclosed amount. Integral plans to transform the vacant site into a walkable mixed-use community with MARTA connectivity, calling it the "largest site inside the Perimeter with all of the elements of a true multi-modal origin and destination." The planning partner will be announced later this month and a comprehensive master plan should take shape shortly after that. Clearing the area for construction is expected to take about eight months.
