It Spreads... Castleberry Hill Has Caught Mixed-Use Fever

New, 36 comments

A new mixed-use development called Castleberry Park was unanimously approved at the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association's September 15 meeting. The latest version of the project, once conceived as an office/condo combo, consists of 120 residential units, 20,000+ square feet of retail space, a 200+ room hotel and a nice little green space — all located within walking distance of the futuristic new Falcons stadium. The proposed project by Gallman Development Group and architect TSW would be a triple threat, serving to make the area around the stadium more pedestrian-friendly, add more than 100 residents to walkable Castleberry Hill and provide accommodation for visitors in town for a Falcons or soccer game. The 350,000-square-foot development hasn't teamed with a hotel brand yet but developers hope to snag a major national brand.

Castleberry Park would sit between Chapel, Magnum and Mitchell streets and Centennial Olympic Park Drive, on a site that is currently an empty lot.
