Atlanta's first new condo tower since the Great Recession could break ground at the cusp of Piedmont Park, should developers Wood Partners decide to pull the trigger, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. With 198 units and more than 20 stories, the Alta on the Park project would be among the tallest buildings neighboring Atlanta's signature park. But as with another project in Poncey-Highland, its builders are waiting to see how the market unfolds (and if lenders make it easier to qualify for mortgages) before committing to the "condo" description.
