Since the Atlanta Streetcar debuted one month ago, an estimated 1,700 riders per day have hopped aboard, a tally that includes journalists, politicos and Ted Turner himself. Transit officials report that 51,000 riders caught the streetcar during its maiden month. Whether that number reflects unique riders or single trips isn't clear, but one thing's for certain: It'll be interesting to see what happens when streetcar trips are no longer free. [Atlanta INtown]
