A delivery date of early 2018 has been set for the latest big addition at OliverMcMillan's Buckhead Atlanta. With residences occupied, restaurants serving up gourmet offerings and shops selling high-end wares, the development has turned its attention to packing on new office space. The goals of the shimmering building are ambitious, with OliverMcMillan touting amenities designed to "boost employee hiring and retention, improve your bottom line and deliver a creative powerhouse for the next generation." Slated to fill the site once occupied by HiFi Buys, the offices are designed to appear like three distinct buildings, with frontage on Peachtree and East Paces Ferry roads and Bolling Way. And following suit with the development's (new) nomenclature, the office building is to be called "The Office Buckhead Atlanta." Which makes perfect sense, because there are no other offices in Buckhead.
OliverMcMillan is ambitiously hoping to fill more than 230,000 square feet of office space, and 30,000 square feet of retail. The offices will be perched atop five floors of parking and a fitness center — because healthy employees are happy employees. Renderings indicate the project will include a rooftop terrace to be enjoyed in those moments when employees can escape from their desks. But while a completion date might be set, there's been no permits filed for the site in over a year, likely meaning an anticipated start date isn't until next year.
